Long-Term Missionary Work (more then three years)

God is looking for individuals and families to partner with a veteran missionary to plant New Testament churches; who are already actively serving the Lord and are ready to step out in faith and begin the journey to long-term  mission service.

Long-term missionaries are able to learn the language, get to know the culture, and build strong relationships that can change lives for eternity. It is not without hard work and challenges, but as a long-term missionary, they will be blessed with more opportunities to see the missionary’s dedication make an impact as they work along side a veteran missionary.

Something special happens when an individual steps past short-term service and make a new place their true home. Cultural walls fall. An outsider becomes a member of the community. And their foreign ideas about faith and God slowly become familiar — even exciting — to the people who need to hear them.

That’s why long-term missionaries are the backbone of ministries that not only spread the Gospel but also watch it take root and transform communities. And if God is calling you to this kind of work, we want to help you find your place.

What is the difference between going mid-term (3 months to three years) and long-term?

The application process for those going less than three years is slightly less extensive with fewer references. Mid-term workers usually raise less support because some of our fields of service offer a subsidized rate. Either way, you are considered field missionaries and are an important part of Heartland Baptist Missions.

Most of all, we seek people who are relentlessly committed to seeing Christ’s name glorified in every nation on earth. If that sounds like you, check out our opportunities below or click here to talk with a missions coach.
